I got on the water at 7:30 and fished 'til 1:30. The water temp was 84 - 86 degrees and visibility about 6'. I went to the left (for the 1st time) after I left the ramp. I caught 4 bass and a catfish. The fish came off of the drop offs of the flats. 2 bass came off of shaky head (2lb) and 2 off of drop shot (2.8 lb) and the cat (4lb) came off of the drop shut. About 4 different times I believe the stripers would chase the shad to the surface but it lasted about 5 seconds and when I cast a top water or swimbait they would be gone.
I fished a jig, t-rig worm, wacky worm, carolina rig, swimbait, top water and DT 10 & 16 but I only got hits off of shaky head and drop shot. all fisch were in 18' - 24' of water.
