6 largemouth from 2-3 lbs each nothing under 14 and all fat . missed 6 I guess they were hitting blades . would just about jerk rod out of your hand when they hit it

some were in 2 ft. of water or less and some were off dock poles half way back in creeks

Fished Smith Mt. on the 14th. Can't report much on catching, just the conditions. Water temp. ranged from 42deg. to 47deg. Clouds gave way to sun around 3:00. Went back in some creeks with no luck at all. Came back out to main lake and managed (1) striper, 5lbs. on a crank bait, and (2) dink largemouth, one off riprap on a crankbait and another off a dock on a senko. Found warmer water back up in a few small cuts and creeks but no bait to speak of and never got a bite.

Had one beside boat over 7 e-z had whole hand in his mouth and was trying not to get hooked bass was at least 27 inches long tried to get hand under belly and he spit my spinnerbait back at me . best basss I have seen in a long time on smith . Had two more strikes but no hard hits , even the big bass was sluggish till I got my hand in his mouth .Back of creeks
