Sandy River Reservoir

Water

temp 73, visibility 3' down lake @ dam area, to temp 68, visibility 1' up lake

Locations

windy side of 1/2 lake

Fish

bass

Lures

Shad Rap, Bandit 100 & 200, weighted & weightless t-rig worm, wacky worm, spinnerbait, swimbait, shaky head worm

Depth

1' - 8'

Method

We fished mostly the windy side (The fact that most of the boats were in the protective coves helped that decision). The wind beat us to death but my boy caught 4 bass from 4.1 to 4.9 lbs and 2 @ 3.1 lbs. I caught the most, 25, and he caught the biggest. I did catch one at 3.3. Most of mines came off of the wacky worm (13) and the shaky head (7). His fished came off of wacky worm, shad rap, weighted t-rig worm and spinnerbait.

Comments

Fishing most of the day in the wind can really tired you out.
