1 pike partner got 3 wee small bass
all but topwater!

I only had 2 hits all day using a shaky head. One was a pike and the other one let go when I set down on him.
Weather man wrong as usual. tough day . Talked to several anglers who didn't do much better than I did. I think the cold front must have shut down the bite in combination with last nights full moon. The parking lot was full. Lots of people pre fishing for a tournament next weekend. I think I heard it is on Sunday

Slow rolling
Day was slow until about 1 hour before dark started casting a white spinner in the standing timbers and caught a few bass. a couple were 1-2 pounders and then I caught 2 within 10 minutes one was 8lbs and the other 6. fish seemed to be staying around in about 8-10 feet of water. caught some crappie around some beaver huts with live minnows.

covered flat nothing areas with crankbait and picked off fish every now and again and threw worms and rig on points and laydowns
caught 15 bass covering water with crankbait biggest was about 3 pounds, and caught the rest mostly on points that had some grass on them. fished alot of points but only a couple had fish that I was able to catch. When I found those areas they were stacked up. On the first one I fished I caught 6 fish in 6 cast that were all under 2 pounds with the small worm, and then picked up the rig and caught a 5 and a 7.5 on 2 consecutive cast. Ended up with about 30 or so, kinda lost track, but overall a very good day.
