I got out fished by my partner, he caught 43 and I caught 25. Sure was nice fishing without a lot of wind and the partly cloudy conditions made the temp. bearable.

Best topwater bite of the year. On the water at 530 made the 45 minute trolling motor run to mid lake and the bite was on. Had 7 keepers in 30 minutes and topwater was good up to 8. Wind turned from the North and topwater stopped. Total number was 21 bass. Old man caught big fish of the day at 5.5 and trickworm. I lost one 6 to 7 pound range right at the boat. Heartbeaker. Fish came around trolling motor and nice jump and spit that bubblegum right at me. I differently need one of these days on the tourney. Tightlines Kevin

A friend and I caught 54 total bass with all less than 2#. Most productive pattern was fishing around shallow pads and grass where bass were jumping to catch dragon flies.

Partner and I caught 36 total bass for relatively slow day. We only had seven at noon. Weather and water seemed perfect for a good catch but the fish must still be recovering from the spawn and not activity feeding yet. At various places around the lake, we saw some bass fry being escorted by a parent. Largest bass was 3lbs.5oz.
