Comments

Took my two 5 yr olds out for a while, I never even took my poles out. We caught about 50 small bream, and a few small bass as well as 1 catfish that broke off at the side of the boat (my fault, bad knot). The kids were extatic, if you were in the area you probably heard us hoopin' and hollerin'. The action was so fast near sunset that I had to cut them down to one shared pole instead of both having one. My daughter did everything herself except bait the hook, and my son wouldn't hold his fish because they were "icky", but we still had a great time. I got lots of good pics for the album.

Comments

Caught a few 5 and 6 pounders at my usual spots. Nothing big. Then I spotted a nice big slack water pool off a point in the Jones Neck loop. Put the boat on shore and threw out 4 lines. We were actually out on the shore streching our legs when a rod went down hard.Jumped back in and pushed off.Im not gonna lie, it wasnt a pretty fight, boat was in the branches, lines and rods tangled everywhere, my girlfriend struggling to get the net free from tangles. Then the fish got wrapped in a blowdown. Long story short, I landed my biggest catfish yet. It pegged my 50lb scale and measured 46"! My girlfriend, Sandy, I couldnt have done it without her winding in the other lines, guiding the boat, and netting it like a pro. After all, it was her idea to go fishing today!
