Wanted to bass fish but wind was so bad decided to just cruise the boat to get through some more break in hours on my motor. Did stop for a little while and throw some cut bait underneath the 295 bridge. Caught the one cat right on the channel edge where it dropped from about 8 feet to around 20 feet.

No size to the bass, 12.5", Cat was about 8 lbs. The cat broke the wire on my spinner bait, pretty much ended the day.

light clouds and windy, 55 degrees air.
Stained, Temp was 42 to 54.5 degrees
Fished most of the day up in the Appomattox River and it's cuts. The ended in the barge pits.
None, Zippo, big fat zilch
Spinnerbaits, Jig N Pig, Rat L Trap.
0 - 10 feety
Tried to fish laydowns running lures along them and bumping them,
Thought would be a decent day. Fished the outgoing tide most of the day, then some slack and a little bit of the incoming. Had a few pick ups on the jig and a few light strikes at the Spinnerbait but no solid hook ups. Fished with Rick K. (followed each other around in our own boats) and he had no luck as well.

Clear sky but windy and cold. Maybe hit 40 today.
Muddy, 42 - 44 degrees on main river and appomattox, 56.5 in the barge pits.
Appomattox and Barge Pits
2 largemouth one 4 one 3.5
Both fish caught on a chartreuse spinnerbait, also lost one on a rat l trap.

Pretty much used the spinner bait and rat l trap all day. Slow rolling both of them.
Not a bad day for February. Started out from 12 to 4 in the appomattox. Fished Pye Alley, and Conjurors neck with no success. Ran up to the barge pits to end the day and had a few hits and caught the two nice fish. Had the tide going out all day.
