Couldnt find the fish or didnt give fish what they really wanted.I think I was around fish but didnt have bait/presentation they wanted.Heard small plastics got the few bass that came in.Was fishing region 6 tourny out of Poplar creek.Jeff B. was there, for awhile anyways.A little over 7 lbs.won the event,so it was a very tough day.The few that did catch fish found the biters were small bucks. No "Gaston" sized bass were caught. The winner with the 7 and change had 4 bass.Very tough day for the majority of us.Dont know too much about the lake but learned a bit and that is important.Post frontal day with clouds, wind and rain at Gaston is tough on a fella that dont fish Gaston much at all.Truck broke down at landing that morning and seems the rest of the day followed suit, was glad to finally get home.

Just tried to stay out of the whitecaps on the main part. Really windy. Warmest water I found was 58 coolest was 48.....Will surely be back there soon....
