crank baits sink-o's
fish 4 to 5 ft deep in 30 to 40 ft of water
crank baits blazed through schools of shad and a few bass came off the edge of dollar pads on sink-o
early the bass started busting on fast moving bait fish and we threw LARGE crank baits to them and were hooked up instantly as the morning moved on the wind kicked up and the bait moved down and we caught several more slightly deeper but still in real deep open water. The name of the game was keep moving and the fish were 1 to four pound with alot of 2's

Slow day compared to the last few times out to Briery. 7 bass for Blackie, 5 for me. I missed an additional 4 fish that I don't want to talk about and a I made a spectacular save on a rod jerked in the water by a fish only to lose the fish on the other end. Largest fish was around 3lb (Blackie). Saw an incredible amount of baitfish on the top of the water around day break. Never seen so many. Sloooooooow day for us though.

Hey fellas I haven't had a real in my hand but I have been working close to briery and we have been riding down to the lower ramp for lunch and wednesday it looked like somone was bombing the place it was so many shad flying through the air. Thursday showed the same and I hope to give it a try soon. It looks as if the fall chasing schooling shad pattern has started!

throw it in the water ..... lol
2 bass went 6'11 and 6'5. Also had four 3lbrs. Lots of nice 1-2lb fish. Heartbreaker-got a HUGE bass to the side of the boat, only to have it thrash violently when I bent down to lip and broke the line. It was much bigger than both of my six's .... might have been 8-9lbs .... who knows .... I cried. ;o( As a friend of mine told me "nothing but 20-25lb test Jeff!!" I should have listened. Got 2 pics of the six's I'll send ya Jeff. Water level looked up. Guy pulled a 9lb out earlier today .... didn't catch his name. Long Day = short report. Tightlines
