Briery Creek
Cool, few clouds, mist on the water in early morning
Clear
By the dam
1 crappie and 9 bass
Top waters and crank baits
shallow on the west side and deep on the east side of the dam and along the dam
Pause and retrieve on the skitter prop accounted for the crappie; Rapala Shad Rap with black top and white belly [two sizes] accounted for 5 of the bass; and Mann's 20 chrome with blue back accounted for 4 bass.
The bass were working the baitfish in the deeper water. Would occasionally see them busted the shad on the surface. Not having a depth finder, that is the only clue we had to knowing where the fish were. Just another great day and good finish to the annual pilgrimage to Briery Creek.

Trick worms, jigs, X-Rap, Moss Mouse, Texas rigged 10.5" worm

Trick worms fished weedless wacky style around trees and stumps. Jigs and big worm fished on deeper channel cuts, X-Rap fished all around. Moss Mouse in Lily pads
First time to Briery in about a month. Fished with Jeff K. today he is a really cool guy. We had a good time and a pretty good day, not great but good. Briery has weeded up real bad. Almost unfishable from the Little Briery Creek Cove to the end of the lake. Caught most of the wacky rig fish around stumps in 5 - 10 feet of water. Jig, Worm and X-Rap fish were caught fishing the various creek channels. Did lose a couple of decent feeling fish, other than that largest fish may have gone four. Had a few in the 2- 3 pound range and then the rest were all around a pound to pound and 1 1/2.
