Time Fished: = 6 A.M. til 3 P.M.
Weather Conditions: = Partly Clouly/Breezy/85 degrees
Water Conditions: = 2' visibility
Water Temp.: = 88.4
Locations Fished: = South end of the lake
Types of fish caught and sizes: = 31 Bass-1 1/2 to 2 pound average with largest 4-11
2 pickerel- 18",24"
Types of lures/bait: = Zoom finesse worm/watermelon-purple
Gene Larew Salt Craw/pumpkin
6" Culprit worm/grape
Method/Presentation: = Finesse/weedless wacky
Craw/Tx.rigged with 3/4 oz. bullet weight
Culprit worm/Tx. rig with 1/8 oz. bullet weight
Depths fished: = 6-9 feet

Additional Comments: = With the water level dropping more, the weeds are just about to the surface at the headwaters on to about 7 foot depths. Today I found them on the creek channel drops and some suspended in the trees above the weeds where the water is 6-9 feet deep. With the wind blowing, I used a Tx. rigged 6" Culprit worm and had limited success with the wacky rigged worm. Caught the largest, 4-11, on a Tx. rigged plastic crawfish with a 3/4 oz. bullet weight to get it through the taller weeds.

Put in at the dam around 6 am this morning and fished til noon .. Fish were sufacing some chasing shad . We caught five of the surfacing fish on spooks all were 2-3lbs .. The weather was perfect for it but they did not stay up long .. we started targeting deeper trees on the creek channel drops in 15 to 25ft of water with 10 in worms .. We caught some nicer fish on the worms .. Had two over six and two around four .. Not a good day for numbers for us but size was pretty good ..

Still catching them on the wacky rigged finesse worm, but the shallow weed growth is limiting the presentation. Some stumps in 3-6 foot depths have enough opening around them let the worm fall to the bottom. Also caught some on the creek channel drops in 6-10 foot depths. Total bass was 36 with a couple over 4 1/2 pounds and 7 pickerel.

Started fishing at 3:00 p.m. Fairly slow until around 6:00. The the bite got hot. Fished Senkos and Finesses worms over weed beds in 6 to 8 foot of water. Caught 21, lost probably 40 more (my hook setting is terrible lately, I keep jumping the hook set). Average fish was around 1.5 pound but did catch five that were over 4 pounds biggest one going 4-10.
