Rained, most of the day. wIND FROM THE south
slight stain 59 - 61 degrees
South end of lake
19 LMB. Mostly small. Largest went around 4#
Senkos, Jigs, Buzzbait, Wacky Rigged Finesse Worm
2-20
Senkos were fished texposed and wacky rigged. Jigs were crawled in deeper channel areas, finnesse worms were fished around stumps
Not a bad day, rain was terrible, and wind not so good, but partner and did boat 19. 13 for me and 6 for him. i caught my two biggest on the jig and trailer on deep channel bends. Then two on wacky rigged finesse worm, and all the rest on Senkos on shallow flats. Actually not a bad day we had problably 3 - 4 times as many hits as fish caught. wind made it hard to get good hook sets plus we had 6 break offs on larger fish. Most of the fish caught on shallow flats on Senkos looked like small buck bass. Maybe they are moving back on the shallows to prepare the beds for spawn.

South end and midlake
33 Bass
Wacky rigged finesse worm
3'-10'
Fished drops near spawning areas, painfully slow with the weedless wacky rig to get deeper. Used a small finishing nail in the worm head get longer casts and a faster sink rate.
Caught my personal best largemouth at 10 pounds and 4 ounces. The guy that uses a ladder on his boat for sight fishing held the fish in his livewell until I could get my camera set up and then he weighed it and took the pictures. Blackielee was there too and saw it. I'll send Jeff a picture.

Whole tackle box. Finesse worms, spinner baits, crank baits, Texas rig, Carolina rig, top water. Tried everything.
Shore to 14 feet
Fast, slow roll, jig to no avail.
Tough day, I think the cold water temp layed them down. I did see several beds, but only one had Bass. (approx 2.5 - 3#) tried for 1/2 hr to catch. Senko, lizzard, worms. Nothin' doin'.Try again next week. Hope with warm week, water temp will come back up and turn them on.

Jig & Pig, rat-l-trap, c-rig lizard, spinners. Too windy for the wacky rig worm.

Well we went. It was a very discouraging day. The wind was AWFUL! If you saw us you might have thought we were fly fishing the way the wind was whipping line. Made it hard to fish and even harder to control the boat. Did talk to another boater that got a 6.5# and a 2# on spinners. We only got stuck a couple of times and my T/M is still intact. We gave up and headed to Sandy around 12:30.

stained, 61-64 degrees
South end most of the day and mid-lake the last two hours
32 bass with largest 7-9
Spinnerbait, Rat-L-Trap, wacky rigged finesse worm
3'-8'
Fished areas with sloping bottom since the shallows are weedy and slimy. Largest fish were on deeper horizonal logs/trees. Smaller ones were on stumps. Used a nail weight to get the finesse worm to the deeper depths faster.
Did not catch any shallow and saw a few beds in 2'or less depths. Mid lake, I saw a bass making a bed 4' deep by a submerged log-caught it, 3 1/2 lbs. Used the spinnerbait and Trap in 3'-5' depths and the finesse worm in 3'-8' depths.

Light Stain temps from 58-60
From Powerline all the way to the south end. Then some of the mid lake Western Shore
1 LMB Small, 1 Pickerel
Jigs, Magnum Worms, Rattle Trap, Assorted Crankbaits, Weedless Wacky Finesse Worm
5-30
Only fish caught and best hits were on the magnum worms pitched towards tree. Had some hits on Jigs but all short strikes. Bunch of short strikes on the magnum worm also. Just could not figure out a good solid bite today.
Fished with BassinBill today to show him around Briery. At least he got to see a lot of the lake. Fishing for us was not so good.

Fished the trees/stumps close to channel drops. Too windy to use my favorite finesse techniques.
It was cold and windy in the morning and warmed up as the day progressed, but the wind remained at a steady pace. Parking lot was about 1/2 full, I guess the post cold front conditions kept some away. Spent a lot of time removing green slime off the lures.

Rat-L-Trap, wacky rigged finesse worm

Fished channel edges until the water temp got above 60 and then fished shallow. Caught some against the shoreline and middle of the lake under logs by dragging the worm over the logs and letting it fall beside them. Largest was 6 lbs. 4 oz. and several in the #4-#5 class. Fished the Trap along the channel drops and drops on the edge of open water.
10 trailers in the 701 parking lot when I got there. Met a couple of guys from Pennsylvania that read the FishinMusician site.
