Fished Lake Anna today for some stripers. It is the first time I have gone for them down there. I went uplake and caught some Gizzard Shad. Then I went looking for fish. I spent almost the entire day looking for fish on my sonar. I was around Sturgeon Creek following the channel. I also checked out the splits area. I never got a bite and really never felt I found a good school of fish. I will try it again this summer. I wanted to catch some herring, but was uable to locate them. I think I need to get out before the sun comes up to catch a lot of herring. If anyone has any pointers about striper fishing, I could use the help. I was using downlines. Todd
