Was tought today really only went out to try out a new prop. Went in to the pits after doing that and only caught a bowfin. Was tough there were a ton of boats in there and because of the wind they wer all stacked in like two areas. I stayed away from everybody and fish in the windy areas but it was too tough. Oh well at least I didn't get stuck...

Goose egg today, I spent the first 2 1/2 hrs sitting on a sandbar, so that pretty much ruined any aspirations for a great day.

Fished with Banko today, 3 for me and 1 for him. Wind was crazy, real tough time fishing we both probably missed 30 or so because of it. This was the lowest, low tide either of us have ever seen....Weird. Jeff even ran out of water next to the jetty coming into Osbourne. Loading the trailers was tough too. But Hey, at least we weren't at work.

HA! The word windy wouldnt even describe it. Had to be 25-30mph in some spots
HA again! Chop like I have never experienced on the James
Presquille Island cut and end.
none. Had a few bites but none hooked
Fresh cut shad
deep
Took the bigger boat out for the 1st time since it was in the shop. Runs good now.Fought the wind and rode the waves down to Presquille Island. Beached the boat on shore to fish. Too windy to anchor. Wind blowing opposite tide, the worst. Fished a couple hours then tried to move to another spot. Chop was so rough, we got soaked by waves blasting over the bow.I could hardly see. Once my girlfriend was soaked, that was the end of the trip.

Briery Creek

partly cloudy 50 degrees light wind
Mid lake to upper end.
7 bass-largest 3# 2oz.
1/4 oz. Rat-L-Trap and 5 1/2" Wacko
2'-12'
After checking several places, I found the warmest water at the South end where it was the most stained. Slow rolled the Trap and ripped it free of the grass to get bit. Also slow dragged the Wacko through visible trees in about 8' depths for a couple of bites.
The vegetation is 1'-3' under the surface in less than 10' depths and it's going to be tough fishing this Spring. A 8'-10' drawdown in Jan. and Feb. sure would help-don't think it's going to happen. Lake level is around 8"-12" low. Went there because of the forecasted sunny and upper 50's but the sun did not last long as it got cloudy and a little windy after 1:00. Three hour round trip to the lake and three hours fishing.
