Threw the Trap at the breaking fish and followed up with the Fluke when they went deeper. The school had sizes ranging from 2# to 4 1/2#

Took my new GF out for her first catfish trip. I have not had the boat out in 2 months Hooked a big one on the first cast out so I have not lost my touch. Tried to hand the rod too her but she didnt want any part of that. Rod bent down too hard and the fish weighed half as much as her. I have caught a lot of big cats but this fish wore me out. Had a lot of line out, fish was deep and it was hot. My legs were shaking when I finally got it in the boat, lol. Will send a pic to Mike. Maybe he can post it on here.Good to be back finally...

Took friend Peyton down there for his first time and of course he catches the big fish of the day. lol .... It turned out to be a really hot day and not only did we catch a good amount of fish but we both caught wicked sun burns! ;o) Managed 3 top water bites that morning which is usually hard for me there. He brought some chubby minnows and we fed the fish well. ;o) his big one was caught on the minnow. I managed a nice 5lbr and a 3lb off the t-rigged fluke. Lots of 1-2lbrs and I caught one on the fluke that I swear was only a few inches bigger than that fluke!
